Springwater is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Springwater, Livingston County, New York, United States. Its population was 549 as of the 2010 census. New York State Routes 15 and 15A intersect in the community. Geography Springwater hamlet is in southeastern Livingston County, slightly northwest of the center of the town of Springwater. The hamlet is in the Springwater Valley, along Springwater Creek, which flows north to Hemlock Lake, one of New York's Finger Lakes. Via State Route 15, Springwater is north of Wayland and southeast of Conesus. Springwater is south of Hemlock via State Route 15A. Hemlock is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Livonia, Livingston County, New York, United States. The population was 557 as of the 2010 census. The Hemlock post office has a ZIP Code of 14466 and serves the southeast part of the town of Livonia as well as parts of the towns of Richmond and Canadice in Ontario County. Geography The Hemlock CDP is in eastern Livingston County. U.S. Route 20A passes through the hamlet, leading north and then west to Livonia village, and east the same distance to Honeoye. Conesus is a hamlet (and census-designated place) in the town of Conesus, Livingston County, New York, United States. The population of the CDP was 308 at the 2010 census, out of 2,473 in the entire town of Conesus. In 2010 the CDP was listed as "Conesus Hamlet". Geography The Conesus CDP includes the hamlet of Conesus on the north side of the valley of South McMillan Creek, as well as the smaller hamlet of Union Corners to the north. Wayland (village), New York
Wayland is a village in Steuben County, New York, United States. The population was 1,865 at the 2010 census. The Village of Wayland is in the northern part of the Town of Wayland, near the northern border of Steuben County. History The village was incorporated in 1877. The village grew after it was selected as a station on the Erie Railroad. Geography Wayland is located at (42.568131, -77.591854). Hemlock Lake
Hemlock Lake is one of the minor Finger Lakes. It is mostly located in Livingston County, New York, south of Rochester, with a portion overlapping into Ontario County. Hemlock is a translation of the Seneca name for the lake, ''O-neh-da Te-car-ne-o-di''. Description Hemlock Lake is long, and approximately wide along most of its uniform north-south length. It has a surface area of , and maximum and mean depths of and respectively. Because the lake is a water source to Rochester, shore development is restricted and boats can be no longer than 16 feet and outboard motors no larger than 10 horsepower. New York State Route 15A (NY 15A) is a north–south state highway located in the western portion of New York in the United States. It serves as an easterly alternate route of NY 15, beginning in the Livingston County town of Springwater and ending to the north in the Monroe County city of Rochester. NY 15A meets U.S. Route 20A (US 20A) in the hamlet of Hemlock, US 20 and NY 5 in the village of Lima, and Interstate 390 (I-390) twice in Henrietta and Brighton. New York State Route 15
New York State Route 15 (NY 15) is a north–south state highway located in western New York in the United States. The southern terminus of the route is officially at Interstate 390 (I-390) exit 3 south of the village of Wayland, although some signage indicating that NY 15 continues south to the northern terminus of U.S. Route 15 (US 15) in Painted Post still exists. The northern terminus of NY 15 is at an intersection with NY 31 in downtown Rochester. Outside of Monroe County, NY 15 is a rural two-lane highway.
