Spring High School
Spring High School is a public high school located in the Spring census-designated place in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, United States. Spring High School, which serves grades 9 through 12, is a part of the Spring Independent School District. Spring High School's mascot is the lion. School colors are black, green, and white. Oren Chappell was principal of the school in the early 1980s. Gloria Marshall was the principal of Spring High School from 1985 until June 2007. Dean Borg served as principal for the 2007-2008 school year and Donna Ullrich was named principal on July 3, 2008.. Diaka R. Carter was appointed as the new principal in 2016. Benjamin Stevenson Gay Jr. (born February 28, 1980) is a former American football running back. He spent the 2001 NFL season with the Cleveland Browns. Born in Houston, Gay was a star running back at Spring High School in Spring, Texas. As a senior in 1997, he was a ''USA Today'' first-team All-American. He chose Baylor over Florida, Florida State, and Miami. However, five weeks into his freshman season in 1998, he was kicked off the team for rules violations. He eventually enrolled at Garden City Community College. Crystal Lynn Bernard (born September 30, 1961) is an American singer-songwriter and actress, best known for her roles as Helen Chappel-Hackett on the sitcom ''Wings'' (1990-1997), Amy on ''It's a Living'' (1985–1989), and K.C.
