Springside is a rural locality in the Toowoomba Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Springside had a population of 108 people. History Springside State School opened on 6 February 1888. It closed in 1954. St John's Anglican Church was dedicated in 1898 and closed circa 1974. The church building was relocated on the site of St Philip's at Mount Tyson for use as a Sunday school and later remodelled as a parish hall. It is now privately owned. Springside, Saskatchewan
Springside is a town in Saskatchewan, Canada within Rural Municipality of Orkney No. 244. It is located about 24km northwest of the city of Yorkton along the Yellowhead Highway. History Springs of pure water along the old Dakota trail attracted settlers to make the present site of Springside, a main stopping place on their trek farther west. The CP railway line was laid parallel with this trail and the siding was named Patrick in honour of the Yorkton district pioneer doctor, T. A. Patrick. The first settlers in the vicinity of the village were from the British Isles or from Ontario, also of British extraction. To the north east of Springside, Ukrainians homesteaded and to the northwest, German-speaking peoples made homes on their claims. By 1903 the railway was under construction and a post office was being considered for the newly incorporated village however another community in the territory was already named Patrick so it was decided that the name should be changed. ...

Springside is a village in the parish of Dreghorn, in the council area of North Ayrshire, Scotland. It is from Irvine, west of Crosshouse, and from Kilmarnock. In the 18th, 19th and mid-20th centuries, the locality was a highly industrialised coal mining district. The settlement is on the Garrier Burn, which forms the boundary with East Ayrshire. Springside had a population of around 1364 in 1991. The A71 now bypasses the village, to the south. Introduction Springside (NS370386) lies on the old main road from Irvine to Kilmarnock, with a junction for Cunninghamhead and Stewarton district. A minor road branches off for Busbiehill and Knockentiber. A milestone stood near the small shop at the junction of the road leading up to the primary school. Springside (Poughkeepsie, New York)
Springside was the estate of Matthew Vassar in Poughkeepsie, New York, United States. It is located on Academy Street just off US 9. Detailed plans for a landscape, villa, and complex of farm buildings were drawn up by the influential Andrew Jackson Downing with assistance of Calvert Vaux prior to the former's death. The landscaping was completed and remains Downing's most intact surviving landscape, but only a few of the buildings he planned were ever built; most have since been lost to fire and structural failure. A cottage where Vassar resided was dismantled and removed in the mid-1970s. Its facade is on display in the New York State Museum. Downing's landscape, in the English landscape gardening tradition, has survived several serious efforts to redevelop the property in the last half-century due to opposition from local preservationists.
