Deventer
Deventer (; Sallands: ) is a city and municipality in the Salland historical region of the province of Overijssel, Netherlands. In 2020, Deventer had a population of 100,913. The city is largely situated on the east bank of the river IJssel, but it also has a small part of its territory on the west bank. In 2005 the municipality of Bathmen (with a population of about 5,000 people) was merged with Deventer as part of a national effort to reduce bureaucracy in the country. Deventer is one of the oldest cities in the Netherlands. The place is already mentioned in 9th-century sources of the Diocese of Utrecht. In a charter from 877 AD mentions seven hooves in ''Daventre portu'' (the Deventer harbor). In 952 AD, Deventer is mentioned as a city in a gift certificate from King Otto I. After the place had acquired more and more rights and privileges over time, it received the municipal lands from Emperor Henry V in 1123. Sportpark Het Schootsveld (Salland Cricket Club Ground) is a cricket ground in Deventer, the Netherlands. The first recorded match held on the ground came in 1975 when Dansk XL Club played The Forty Club. The ground later held four ICC Trophy matches in the 1990. The ground held its first List A match in 1999 when the Netherlands played Cambridgeshire in the NatWest Trophy. Oegstgeest () is a town and municipality in the province of South Holland in the western Netherlands. Its population was in . Etymology The portion ''geest'' in the name refers to the geest lands, which were excavated in the seventeenth century for the benefit of the urban expansion of Leiden. There exists more uncertainty about the 'Oegst' part. There are various stories. The name was formerly often spelled Oestgeest or Oostgeest, which could indicate the geographical location of the village: east of the geest lands. However, the oldest spelling found in a copy of a list of goods of the St. Martin's Cathedral in Utrecht from the tenth century states Osgeresgeest. This could indicate an original resident and owner of the territory: Osger. Ireland Women's Cricket Team
The Ireland women's cricket team represents Ireland in international women's cricket. Cricket in Ireland is governed by Cricket Ireland and organised on an All-Ireland basis, meaning the Irish women's team represents both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Ireland made its One-Day International (ODI) debut in 1987, against Australia, and the following year played at the 1988 World Cup, making the first of five appearances at the tournament. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s Ireland was considered to be a top-level team, playing regular ODI series and placing as high as fifth at the World Cup ( in 1993, out of eight teams). In 2000, the team played its only Test match, defeating Pakistan. Although it still retains ODI status, Ireland has not qualified for a World Cup since the 2005 event. Amstelveen () is a municipality in the province of North Holland, Netherlands with a population of 92.353 as of 2022. It is a suburban part of the Amsterdam metropolitan area. The municipality of Amstelveen consists of the historical villages of Bovenkerk and Nes aan de Amstel. Japan Women's Cricket Team
The Japan women's national cricket team is the team that represents the country of Japan in international women's cricket matches. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) decided to grant full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members. Therefore, all Twenty20 matches played between Japan women and other ICC members since 1 July 2018 have been a full WT20I. History They made their international debut at the 2003 IWCC Trophy in the Netherlands. These were the first ODI matches played by any Japanese team, with the Japanese men's team yet to play at that level. They did not meet with much success though, losing all five matches and giving away an incredible 104 extras in their match against The Netherlands. They were bowled out for just 28 against Pakistan in that competition, with 20 of those runs coming in extras and just 8 from the bat, with the openers top scoring with 3 runs apiece. Sportpark Harga is a cricket ground in Schiedam, Netherlands. The first recorded match on the ground came in 1968 when the Netherlands Under-23s played the Marylebone Cricket Club. The ground hosted various touring international sides in the 1980s, while in 1990 it held seven matches in the ICC Trophy. In 2003, the ground held a Women's One Day International when the Netherlands Women played Japan Women at the IWCC Trophy.
