Sport Toplumy (Abadan)
Buzmeyin Sport Complex ( tk, Büzmeýin Sport Toplumy) is a stadium in Büzmeýin District, Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It has a capacity of 10,000 people. It is the home of Ýokary Liga club Altyn Asyr FK. It was called Abadan Sport Complex until 2018. History The sports complex opened in June 2009 in Abadan city. Construction works carried out by Turkish company ALP-SAN Inşaat. The project cost $20 million. It also hosted some matches for 2010 Turkmenistan President's Cup. In 2018, the Abadan District was renamed to Büzmeýin District, along with this the name of the stadium was changed to ''Buzmeyin Sport Complex''. Ashgabat or Asgabat ( tk, Aşgabat, ; fa, عشقآباد, translit='Ešqābād, formerly named Poltoratsk ( rus, Полтора́цк, p=pəltɐˈratsk) between 1919 and 1927), is the capital and the largest city of Turkmenistan. Altyn Asyr FK
Football Club Altyn Asyr ( tk, link=no, Altyn Asyr futbol kluby), also known as Altyn Asyr Ashgabat or simply Altyn Asyr, which translates to "Golden Century", is a Turkmen football club based in Ashgabat. Founded in 2008, the club competes in the Ýokary Liga, the top tier of Turkmen football. It has remained there ever since, winning the Turkmenistan Higher League championship eight times in a row (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021). Abadan ( fa, آبادان ''Ābādān'', ) is a city and capital of Abadan County, Khuzestan Province, which is located in the southwest of Iran. It lies on Abadan Island ( long, 3–19 km or 2–12 miles wide). The island is bounded in the west by the Arvand waterway and to the east by the Bahmanshir outlet of the Karun River (the Arvand Rood), from the Persian Gulf, near the Iran–Iraq border. Eight teams from seven countries will participate in the 16th edition of the Turkmenistan President's Cup, which will take place in Ashgabat's Olympic Stadium between February 20 and 28. Büzmeýin District
Büzmeýin District ( tk, Büzmeýin etraby, from 2002 to 2018 called Abadan District, expanded in 2018 to include former Archabil District and Chandybil District) is a borough of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. As a borough, it is headed by a presidentially appointed mayor ( tk, häkim). The borough known as Büzmeýin should not be confused with the neighborhood of the same name in Ashgabat, boundaries of which correspond to the former city of Büzmeýin/Abadan.
