''Spooky, Spooky'' (Chinese: 鬼掹腳 ''Gui meng jiao'', literally: "Come Join Us"), also known as ''The Haunted Island'' and ''Spooky, Spooky, Spooky'', is a 1988 Hong Kong comedy horror film directed and co-produced by Sammo Hung. The executive producer was Leonard Ho. The film was released theatrically on 19 October 1988. Plot In the time of the Qing dynasty, a woman is caught in an adulterous embrace with a man. The man is drowned in a cage while the grieving woman falls into a pit of quicksand and dies. Years later in 1988, recent police academy graduate Wang Hsiao Ming is newly posted as a policeman in West Bay, also known as "Ghost Bay", under Sectional Chief Lu Hsien, nicknamed "Master" due to his old age. Sammo Hung
Sammo Hung Kam-bo ( zh, t=洪金寶, j=Hung4 Gam1-bou2; born 7 January 1952) is a Hong Kong actor, martial artist, film producer and Film director, director, known for his work in martial arts films, Hong Kong action cinema, and as a fight choreography, fight choreographer for other actors such as Jackie Chan. Yuen Wah
Yuen Wah (born Yung Kai-chi; 2 September 1952) is a Hong Kong action film actor, action choreographer, stuntman and martial artist who has appeared in over 160 films and over 20 television series. Early life Born Yung Kai-chi on 2 September 1950 in Hong Kong, Kai attended the China Drama Academy, a Peking opera school in Hong Kong in the late 1950s and 1960s. He was instructed by Master Yu Jim Yuen and became a member of the Seven Little Fortunes along with fellow students including Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Yuen Qiu and Corey Yuen. Like the other students, he took his sifu's given name – " Yuen". In his biography, Jackie Chan stated that Yuen Wah's martial arts ability was well respected among his fellow students. James Tien (born 28 May 1942) is a Hong Kong actor. He appeared in almost 70 films, primarily in Hong Kong action cinema, including roles in the films of martial arts stars including Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung. He often played villains or supporting roles. He retired from the Hong Kong film industry in 1996. History Born in Chao'an County, Guangdong, James Tien moved with his British family of Chinese descent to Hong Kong in 1958. He became a student of the Fu Sheng Drama School in Taipei, Taiwan, along with Angela Mao and Philip Kwok. His acting career began in the late 1960s, when he joined Shaw Brothers Studio.
