Spokane Velocity FC is an American professional soccer team based in Spokane, Washington, competing in USL League One. History In March 2021, United Soccer League announced a proposal to build a 5,000-seat stadium in downtown Spokane to serve as home to a new USL League One club. In May 2021, the Spokane Public School Board voted to approve the $31 million stadium project. In December 2021, the Spokane Public Facilities District met with USL and MLS Next Pro officials over which league would place a team at the city-run stadium. On October 7, 2022, the club announced their new ownership group, Aequus Sports, LLC (led by Ryan and Katie Harnetiaux) as well as that their men's team would start play in USL League One in 2024. The club announced a partnership with Capelli Sport on June 21, 2023, making them their exclusive uniform, equipment, and training apparel provider. The official team name, Spokane Velocity FC, and crest were announced at a launch event on July 21, 2023. ...

Leigh Veidman
Leigh Veidman (born 9 June 1988) is an English professional football coach and former player who is an assistant coach of USL Championship club Charleston Battery. Playing career His career started with stints at both Liverpool and Everton youth academies. Veidman came to the United States from England to play college soccer in 2008. His first stop was at NJCAA team Iowa Western Community College where he was he earned All-Conference honors in 2008 and 2010 and All-American honors in 2010. He holds the record at Iowa Western for most career goals (41) and most career points (91). Pierre Reedy (born January 11, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder or full-back for USL League One club Spokane Velocity. Career Youth and College Reedy began his career playing for his Kutztown Area High School soccer team as well as with Lehigh Valley United youths, and won District and State championships with both sides respectively. In 2015, Reedy would leave his high school team to join the New York Red Bulls Academy and committed to Penn State University. Collin Fernandez (born 13 February 1997) is a professional footballer who currently plays for USL Championship club FC Tulsa. Born in the United States, he has most recently represented Peru at youth level. Marcelo Antonio Lage (born March 2, 2000) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Spokane Velocity in the USL League One. Career Youth, college and amateur Lage was born in Middleton, Massachusetts. He attended Brooks School, where he earned All-State honors as a senior in helping the team win Independent School League, New England and National Prep titles. The USL Super League (USLS) is a planned Division II professional women's soccer league in the United States, beginning play in 2023. The USL W League (USLW) is a pre-professional women's soccer league in the United States which began play in May 2022. It was announced on June 8, 2021 by the United Soccer League with eight founding clubs. It follows the USL W-League, a similar league that existed from 1995 to 2015.
