SpokFrevo Orquestra
Inaldo Cavalcante de Albuquerque, better known as Spok, is a Brazilian sax player who is one of the main frevo composers in the state of Pernambuco. Igarassu, Pernambuco
Igarassu (or Igaraçu) is a city in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco. It is the second oldest city of the country and is situated on the north coast of the metropolitan region of Recife, approximately . It stands as one of the earliest European settlements in Brazil and is the site of the oldest church in the country, the Church of Saints Cosme and Damião, built in 1535. Igarassu is home to numerous colonial-period historic structures. Lenine (musician)
Lenine, artist name of Osvaldo Lenine Macedo Pimentel (born 2 February 1959), is a Brazilian singer-songwriter from Recife, Pernambuco. Between the years of 2002 and 2018, he has earned a total of seven Latin Grammy Awards, (including the 2005 awards for "Best Brazilian Contemporary Album" and "Best Brazilian Song"). Career Lenine's career began at the age of 18, when he moved to Rio de Janeiro to compete in a music festival. In 1983, he released his first LP, ''Baque Solto'', with partner Lula Queiroga. Ten years later, he released his second album, ''Olho de Peixe'', with percussionist Marcos Suzano. Lenine's first solo record, ''O Dia em que Faremos Contato'', was released in 1997, featuring a mixture of electronica, northeastern Brazilian rhythms and samba. Passo De Anjo
''Passo de anjo'' is the debut album of the Brazilian big band SpokFrevo Orquestra. Released in 2004, the album was praised for its innovation of frevo, which presents some influences from jazz, emphasizing improvisations. The album was firstly released independently. However, two years later, due to its success, it was released again by Biscoito Fino. The disc presents reinterpretations of old frevo classics, but also presents new compositions. Between many musicians which participated of its recording, one can cite Antonio Nóbrega, which plays violin in some songs. ''Passo de anjo'' was elected by ''O Estado de S. Paulo'' as one of the three best albums released in 2004. Luiz Carlos dos Santos (7 January 1951 – 4 August 2017), widely known by his stage name Luiz Melodia, was a Brazilian singer-songwriter whose music was a characteristic crossover of multiple Music genres including Música popular brasileira (MPB), rock music, blues, soul music and samba. He has been described as 'one of the most important Brazilian-born musicians.'
