Alexis Spight (born July 3, 1993) is an American urban contemporary gospel musician, and runner-up on season five of the BET singing competition, ''Sunday Best''. She started her music career, in 2012, with the single, "Imagine Me", and the song placed on the Hot Gospel Songs chart. Her first album, ''L.O.L. (Living Out Loud)'', was released in 2013 by Music World Gospel. This album was her ''Billboard'' magazine breakthrough release upon The ''Billboard'' 200, Gospel Albums, and Independent Albums charts. Early life Spight was born on July 3, 1993, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of Pastor Lee Allen Jr. and Michelle Spight, she has five sisters and one brother. Music career Spight made the finals on season five of the BET singing competition, ''Sunday Best'', which she finished runner-up to Joshua Rogers. Thomas Spight
Thomas Spight (October 25, 1841 – January 5, 1924) was a U.S. Representative from Mississippi. Born near Ripley, Mississippi, Spight attended the common schools, Ripley Academy, Purdy (Tennessee) College, and the La Grange (Tennessee) Synodical College where he was a member of the Sigma (original) chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He enlisted in the Confederate States Army as a private in 1861. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant the same year. In 1862, he became captain of Company B, Thirty-fourth Regiment, Mississippi Volunteer Infantry, and served until the close of the war. He taught school and also engaged in agricultural pursuits. He studied law. He was admitted to the bar in 1875 and commenced practice in Ripley, Mississippi. He served as member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from 1874–1880.
