Spencer Brown (running Back)
Spencer Brown (born November 13, 1998) is an American football running back for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at UAB and holds multiple school career rushing records. He was signed by the Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2021. Early years Spencer was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, and attended Mortimer Jordan High School. As a senior he was selected to the first-team All-Birmingham list after he rushed for 1,972 yards on 304 carries and tallied 33 total touchdowns. Brown was ranked as a two-star high school prospect by 247sports. College career As a true freshman at UAB in 2017, Brown appeared in all 13 games and made nine starts. He rushed for 1329 yards, which was the third-most yards in school history and added 10 touchdowns. He broke Jordan Howard's freshman rushing record in his eighth game. The 2021 NFL Draft was the 86th National Football League Draft, the annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible players for the 2021 NFL season. The draft was held in Cleveland from April 29 to May 1, 2021. The Conference USA Football Championship Game is an annual American football game that has determined the season champion of Conference USA (C-USA) since 2005. History The championship game from 2005–2021, showcased the C-USA East Division regular season champion against the West Division regular season champion. Since 1990 the Doak Walker Award honors the top running back in college football in the United States. It is named in honor of Doak Walker, a former running back who played for the SMU Mustangs from 1945 to 1949 and in the National Football League for the Detroit Lions from 1950 to 1955. Jordan Reginald Howard (born November 2, 1994) is an American football running back who is a free agent. He played college football at UAB and Indiana. High school career Howard played high school football at Gardendale High School in Gardendale, Alabama, a suburb of Birmingham. He was a two-year starter for the Rockets, gaining 2,876 yards in his junior and senior seasons. While he excelled for the Rockets, he was generally regarded as a just two-star prospect and was not a highly sought-after recruit by major college programs.
