Spell (EP)
''Spell'' is the second extended play by South Korean girl group DIA. It was released by MBK Entertainment on September 13, 2016, and distributed by Interpark. It consists of seven tracks, including "Mr. Potter", released as the title track. The EP peaked at number 4 on the Gaon Album Chart. It has sold over 13,000 physical copies as of October 2016. Background and release On August 11, MBK Entertainment released teaser images for ''Mr. Potter'' which will be the title track of their new comeback album to-be released on September 12. The theme of the comeback is "Harry Poster" which will be produced by Shaun Kim. On August 30, MBK Entertainment announced that the album release date will be postponed to a day later and the new album will be released on September 13 instead. Dia (band)
DIA (; ko, 다이아; shortened from DIAMOND and backronym for Do It Amazing) is a South Korean girl group formed by MBK Entertainment. The group is currently composed of six members: Eunice, Jueun, Huihyeon, Yebin, Chaeyeon and Eunchae. DIA officially debuted on September 14, 2015, with their lead single "Somehow" from debut album ''Do It Amazing. Seunghee left the group in April 2016 to focus on acting. Eunjin decided to leave the group In May 2018 to focus on her health. Jenny also left the group in July 2019 for health issues. Somyi departed the group in January 2022 after deciding to terminate her exclusive contract. The group is currently on indefinite hiatus to focus on their solo activities. The Circle Album Chart, previously known as the Gaon Album Chart, is a record chart ranking the 100 most popular albums, extended plays and single albums in South Korea based on their Record sales, pure sales. It is a part of the Circle Chart, previously known as the Gaon Chart. It compiles shipments in weekly, monthly and year-end format with detailed album sales. History The Gaon Album Chart was launched as a part of the Gaon Chart in February 2010 by Korea Music Content Association and South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. This marks their first release with the additions of Jueun and Somyi and first release as their nine member-group. Background and release On March 31 MBK Entertainment confirmed that the album would be released on April 19 on March 31 along with the reality show ''YOLO TRIP''. Their first dance performance for the title track 'Will You Go Out With Me?' was on their first concert titled "First Miracle" at Yes24 Live Hall. ''Happy Ending'' is the debut extended play by South Korean girl group DIA. It was released by MBK Entertainment on June 14, 2016, and distributed by Interpark. It consists of seven tracks, including "On The Road", released as the EP's title track. This marked the return of members Heehyun and Chaeyeon, after their hiatus in order to participate on Mnet's survival show, Produce 101. It also marked the first release without member Seunghee and the first release with member Eunchae. The EP peaked at number 7 on the Gaon Album Chart. Background Members Heehyun and Chaeyeon joined the survival show ''Produce 101'' in 2015 and due to this, they had to temporarily withdraw from the group. Meanwhile, MBK Entertainment added a new member to the group, Eunchae, on March 7, 2016.
