Louis William Chaudet (March 20, 1884 – May 10, 1965) was an American film director of the silent movie era. Biography He was born on March 20, 1884, in Manhattan, Kansas. He died May 10, 1965, in Woodland Hills, California. Louis was the second child and only son of 5 siblings born to Alfred C. Chaudet (1854-1939) and Eva Ann Schlashman Chaudet (1862-1930). Alfred moved his family from Kansas to Pasadena CA between 1900 and 1910 according to the Census of 1910. Bud Osborne
Leonard Miles "Bud" Osborne (July 20, 1884 – February 2, 1964) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 600 films and television programs between 1912 and 1963. Biography Osborne was born Miles Osborne in Knox County, Texas, on February 20, 1884. Osborne attended Oklahoma City schools and was a rancher in Oklahoma's Indian Territory before he became an entertainer. After working with the 101 Ranch Show for five years, he worked with Buffalo Bill's Wild West show for one year in 1912. He became a member of Thomas H. Ince's film company in 1915. Osborne specialized in westerns, and was also noted for his skill as a stage driver, and was thus much in demand from his first film in 1912 right through the early 1950s. He was working as a stunt man as late as 1948, in Ray Enright's ''Return of the Bad Men.'' Rayart Pictures was one of the early film production and distribution companies operating independently of the major Hollywood studios in the United States during the later silent film era from the mid-to-late 1920s and into the early "talkies" era of early films with sound in the late 1920s and early 1930s. It established its own distribution network, specialising in westerns. It was begun by W. Ray Johnston in 1924, after whom the company was named. It was originally created as a low budget release agent, and like the other so-called Poverty Row studios, was based in a small plot off Sunset Strip, by Gower Street. Clifford William Lyons (1 July 1901 - 6 January 1974) was an American film actor, stuntman and second unit director, primarily of Westerns and particularly the films of John Ford and John Wayne. His Hollywood contemporaries were unanimous in describing him as “a driven taskmaster”. Biography Lyons, the son of Garrett Thomas Lyons and Wilhamena Johnson Lyons, was raised on a South Dakota farm, though his family lived for a time in Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended business school. An expert horseman, Lyons gave up the notion of a business career and opted for the rodeo arena instead, touring nationwide and eventually reaching Los Angeles at the age of 21. Accomplished cowboys were in great demand for western films, and Lyons found a home in that genre, working both as a stuntman and an actor. Roy Watson (August 6, 1876 – June 7, 1937) was an American actor of the silent era. He appeared in more than 120 films between 1911 and 1935. Biography Born in Richmond, Virginia, Watson began to act on stage in 1895. He went to Hollywood in 1909. Watson's first work with films was with the Selig Company when he appeared in ''The Hazards of Helen''. Watson was married to, and divorced from actress Jane Keckley.
