Speed Crazy is a psychobilly band from New Jersey New Jersey is a state in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States. It is bordered on the north and east by the state of New York; on the east, southeast, and south by the Atlantic Ocean; on the west by the Delaware .... Members are Greg Bury on guitar and vocals, Erica Martinez on upright bass and vocals, and Jeremy Kroger on drums. The band has been playing on the psychobilly scene for over 11 years, Greg has played in other international rockabilly bands such as Andy and his Poor Boys and Jet Black Machine. Speed Crazy also has record distribution throughout the USA, Brasil, Puerto Rico, UK and Japan. Psychobilly
Psychobilly is a rock music fusion genre that fuses elements of rockabilly and punk rock. It's been defined as "loud frantic rockabilly music", it has also been said that it "takes the traditional countrified rock style known as rockabilly, ramp ngup its speed to a sweaty pace, and combin ngit with punk rock and imagery lifted from horror films and late-night sci-fi schlock,... reating agritty honky tonk punk rock." Psychobilly is often characterized by lyrical references to science fiction, horror (leading to lyrical similarities to horror punk) and exploitation films, violence, lurid sexuality, and other topics generally considered taboo, though often presented in a comedic or tongue-in-cheek fashion. The Drop Dead Festival is the largest DIY festival for "art-damaged" music. It has as many as 65 bands per event, and has been known to attract attendees from over 30 countries.
