Spectrum Saloon Car (SSC)
The Spectrum Patrol Car (SPC) or Spectrum Saloon Car (SSC) is a fictional vehicle that appears in Gerry Anderson's science-fiction television series ''Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons'' (1967) and in revamped form in the remake ''Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet'' (2005). Depiction ''Captain Scarlet'' Accessible only to Spectrum personnel, the SPC is long and equipped with four-wheel drive. It can seat up to four people, has a maximum speed of , and is powered by a gas turbine located under the rear roof. The car is specially equipped with quartz headlights that permit the driver to see long distances in the dark. Dinky Toys
Dinky Toys was the brand name for a range of die-cast toy, die-cast zamak zinc alloy scale model model car, vehicles produced by British toy company Meccano Ltd. Die casting is a casting (metalworking), metal casting process that is characterized by forcing molten metal under high pressure into a mold cavity. The mold cavity is created using two hardened tool steel die (manufacturing), dies which have been machined into shape and work similarly to an injection molding, injection mold during the process. Friction Drive
A friction drive or friction engine is a type of transmission that utilises two wheels in the transmission to transfer power from the engine to the driving wheels. The system is naturally a continuously variable transmission; by moving the two disks' positions, the output ratio changes continually. Although once used in early automobiles, today the system is most commonly used on scooters, mainly go-peds, in place of a chain and gear system. The Jaguar D-Type is a sports racing car that was produced by Jaguar Cars Ltd. between 1954 and 1957. Designed specifically to win the Le Mans 24-hour race, it shared the straight-6 XK engine and many mechanical components with its C-Type predecessor.
