Special Others
Special Others is a Japanese band that blends improvised jazz with post-rock influences. Their lyrics on non-instrumental songs mix English and Japanese. The members of the band met in high school and formed the group in 1995. They began performing in 2000 and their first major release, ''Indy-Ann'', remained in the CRJ-tokyo charts for seven weeks. Their first release on NMNL Records was the Extended play, EP ''Ben'' which entered the Tower Records Shibuya, Tokyo, Shibuya indie chart at No. 1, and No. 2 in the national Tower Records chart. After releasing their second EP, ''Uncle John'', in June 2005, the band played at the Fuji Rock Festival in July. In June 2006, they released ''Idol'', which was followed by a performance at Daikanyama UNIT in July, the release ''Aims'' at Tower Records in October, and the release of their first full album, ''Good Morning'', on November 22. Yokohama

Tower Records
Tower Records is an international retail franchise and online music store that was formerly based in Sacramento, California, United States. From 1960 until 2006, Tower operated retail stores in the United States, which closed when Tower Records filed for bankruptcy and liquidation. Asian Kung-Fu Generation
(stylized as ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION) is a Japanese alternative rock band formed in Yokohama in 1996. For its entire career, the band has consisted of vocalist Masafumi Gotoh, guitarist Kensuke Kita, bassist Takahiro Yamada, and drummer Kiyoshi Ijichi. Starting out as a college band, Asian Kung-Fu Generation released a series of independent EPs featuring lyrics mostly sung in English. In 2002, they released their major-label EP debut '' Hōkai Amplifier'', from that point singing their lyrics in Japanese. The band's musical style is influenced by seminal Western alternative rock acts as well as their own local Japanese indie-rock and punk scene. Fuji Rock Festival
is an annual rock festival held in Naeba Ski Resort, in Niigata Prefecture, Japan. The three-day event, organized by Smash Japan, features more than 200 Japanese and international musicians, making it the largest outdoor music event in Japan. In 2005, more than 100,000 people attended the festival. Fuji Rock Festival is named so because the first event in 1997 was held at the base of Mount Fuji. Since 1999 the festival has been held at the Naeba Ski Resort in Yuzawa, Niigata. Festival grounds There are seven main stages and other minor stages scattered throughout the site. Post-rock
Post-rock is a form of experimental rock characterized by a focus on exploring textures and timbre over traditional rock song structures, chords, or riffs. Post-rock artists are often instrumental, typically combining rock instrumentation with electronics. The genre emerged within the indie and underground music scene of the 1980s and early 1990s. However, due to its abandonment of rock conventions, it often bears little resemblance musically to contemporary indie rock, borrowing instead from diverse sources including ambient, electronica, jazz, krautrock, dub, and minimalist classical.
