''Speaking in Tongues'' is the fifth solo studio album by American rapper Bizzy Bone. It was released on September 27, 2005 via 845 Entertainment/SMC Recordings. The title is in reference to the incident in which Bizzy Bone went on a spiritual rant during an interview on Houston radio station KPFT FM, speaking in tongues. Production was handled by Eddie B, Quite Stankable Productions, Tightanniam Beats and Studio KRat, with Greg Miller and Jarred Weisfeld serving as executive producer. It features guest appearances from Bambino and Kahnma. Early life Bryon Anthony McCane II was born in Columbus, Ohio. In 1980, 4-year-old Bryon and his two sisters were abducted by their mother’s boyfriend while their mother was at work and held captive for over 2 years. Bryon recalls that at first, he did not know he had been kidnapped and was made to believe that his mother and grandmother were dead. During the time they was abducted, he and his sisters lived in many homes, apartments, cars, and motels, all in northern Oklahoma. SMC Recordings
SMC Recordings is an independent hip hop record label established in 2005 in Del Valle, Texas, by Charles Vasquez, Micheal Luna, and Saroj Thapa. SMC primarily signs and distributes established hip hop artists. SMC grew out of a vision that Saroj Thapa had in early 2000s to launch a new kind of record label, one based in his hometown, that would be about hip hop music. Saroj crossed paths with Micheal Luna and Charles Vasquez, and SMC came one step closer to being realized. KPFT (90.1 FM) is a listener-sponsored community radio station in Houston, Texas, which began broadcasting March 1, 1970 as the fourth station in the Pacifica radio family.
