Isaac Sparks
Isaac Sparks (1719–1776) was an Irish stage actor. He was born in Dublin, the younger brother of actor Luke Sparks. He established himself on the Dublin stage in the 1730s, appearing at both the Ransford Street Theatre and Smock Alley and then the Aungier Street Theatre during the 1740s. In 1745 he made his London debut at the Drury Lane Theatre and remained in the company there until 1748. He then returned to Dublin and was part of the Smock Alley company until 1758, before transferring to the new Crow Street Theatre for two years, before again returning to Smock Alley. His also performed widely in Irish provincial theatres, with visits to Belfast, Cork and Limerick amongst others. Henry Yorke Sparks (ca.1845 – 21 October 1900) was a pioneer businessman of South Australia, and a director of the South Australian Company, Henry was born in Montevideo where his father Henry P(alafox) G(erona) Sparks (ca.1810 – 18 April 1870), a Liverpool merchant, his wife Sarah (ca.1816 – 5 January 1898) and family had settled. To escape the turmoil which had erupted in Uruguay, he chartered the brig ''Bernard'' (240 tons, Crawney master) and sailed to South Australia, arriving in Adelaide in May 1853. He gained an appointment as accountant for the Water Board. Henry attended John Whinham's North Adelaide Grammar School, where he was a prize-winning student, then entered the office of Sir John Morphett. Hedley Frederick Davis Sparks, (14 November 1908 – 22 November 1996) was a British biblical scholar and Church of England priest. From 1946 to 1952, he was Cadbury Professor of Theology at the University of Birmingham. From 1952 to 1976, he was Oriel Professor of the Interpretation of Holy Scripture at the University of Oxford. Garret Sparks (born June 28, 1993) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing for the Orlando Solar Bears (ECHL). He most recently played for the Ontario Reign in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL). Evert Ellsworth Sparks (September 10, 1879 – May 11, 1972) was a politician from Alberta, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1921 to 1930 as a member of the United Farmers caucus in government. Political career Sparks first ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature in the 1921 general election, as a United Farmers candidate in a two-way race against Liberal incumbent Hugh John Montgomery in the electoral district of Wetaskiwin. Douglas Everett Sparks (born January 8, 1956) is an American Episcopal bishop. He is the eighth and current bishop of Northern Indiana in The Episcopal Church. Ordained ministry Roman Catholic Church Sparks studied Philosophy at St. Mary's Seminary College, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in May 1980. He attended the De Andreis Institute of Theology, from which he graduated with a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree in June 1984.
