Spanish School Students' Union
The Spanish school students' union is a student organization in Spain. It organises students in compulsory secondary education, baccalaureate, professional and university education; both public and private. It has about 20,000 members and has 3 of the 8 student representatives in the State School Board. It was founded in 1986 by members of the organization currently called Izquierda Revolucionaria. Its legal status comes from Organic Law of Education of the Organic Law of the Right to Education. Privatisation Ana Garcia has blamed privatisation for the spread of corruption in the university sector. Revolutionary Left ( es, Izquierda Revolucionaria, ca, Esquerra Revolucionària, eu, Ezker Iraultzailea, gl, Esquerda Revolucionaria) is a Trotskyist political party in Spain formerly affiliated with the Committee for a Workers' International (CWI). Revolutionary left publishes El Militante in Spanish, Militant in Catalan and Euskal Herria Sozialista. They contain a socialist perspective on news and current issues. It campaigns for a party of the working class to express the political needs of those not benefiting from the capitalist system. They believe a strong and organized movement of workers and young people can overthrow capitalism and establish a new society. La Manada Sexual Abuse Case
The La Manada rape case began with the gang rape of an 18-year-old woman on 7 July 2016 during the Festival of San Fermín, San Fermín celebrations in Pamplona, Navarre, Spain. The case drew intense public scrutiny as it called into question the definition of rape under Spanish law. Five men, including a member of the Civil Guard (Spain), Civil Guard and another of the Spanish Army from Seville, filmed themselves repeatedly attacking the girl in the vestibule of an apartment building. ''La Manada'' means "The Pack (canine), pack" in Spanish. After their arrest and trial, the men were cleared of sexual aggression charges and instead found guilty of sexual abuse because the prosecution could not prove they employed violence to subjugate the victim.
