Spanaway (album)
''Spanaway'' is an album by the American band Seaweed. It was released in 1995 on Hollywood Records. The album is named for the Washington community. The first single was "Start With", which peaked at No. 38 on ''Billboards Modern Rock Tracks chart. Seaweed supported the album with a North American tour, which included playing the 1995 Warped Tour. ''Spanaway'' was a commercial disappointment. Production The album was produced primarily by Adam Kasper; it was mixed by Andy Wallace. Barrett Martin and Matt Cameron played drums on some tracks. Seaweed wrote the songs over a period of two years. "Magic Mountainman" is about singer Aaron Stauffer's farm near Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake; "Not Saying Anything" is about domestic discontent. Seaweed was an American band from Tacoma, Washington who were active throughout the 1990s. Their style of music was a combination of various rock subgenres, including post-hardcore and punk rock. They were signed to various notable record labels, such as Sub Pop Records, Merge Records and Hollywood Records. History ''Seaweed'' and ''Despised'' (1989–1991) The band started out in 1989, consisting of vocalist Aaron Stauffer, guitarist Clint Werner, guitarist Wade Neal, bassist John Atkins, and drummer Bob Bulgrien. The ''Sun Sentinel'' (also known as the ''South Florida Sun Sentinel'', known until 2008 as the ''Sun-Sentinel'', and stylized on its masthead as ''SunSentinel'') is the main daily newspaper of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as well as surrounding Broward County and southern Palm Beach County. ''Trouser Press'' was a rock and roll magazine started in New York in 1974 as a mimeographed fanzine by editor/publisher Ira Robbins, fellow fan of the Who Dave Schulps and Karen Rose under the name "Trans-Oceanic Trouser Press" (a reference to a song by the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and an acronymic play on the British TV show ''Top of the Pops)''. Matt Cameron
Matthew David Cameron (born November 28, 1962) is an American musician who is the drummer for the rock band Pearl Jam. He first gained fame as the drummer for Seattle-based rock band Soundgarden, which he joined in 1986. He appeared on each of the band's studio albums until its break-up in 1997. In 1998, Cameron was invited to join Pearl Jam's U.S. Yield Tour and then became a permanent member of the band.
