Bernardino Spada
Bernardino Spada (21 April 1594 – 10 November 1661) was an Italian Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church and a patron of the arts whose collection is housed in the Palazzo Spada in Rome. Early life Spada was born in Brisighella, current province of Ravenna (Romagna). His father was the rich merchant Paolo Spada (unrelated to the Spada family of ancient nobility) who had directed him early on to a career in the church, though the generations before his had been colliers. Bernardino studied law in Bologna, Perugia and Rome and received a doctorate. He served in the Papal Curia from 1617. Ecclesiastic career On 8 December 1623, he was consecrated bishop in the church of San Luigi dei Francesi in Rome by Cardinal Guido Bentivoglio d'Aragona, assisted by Guillaume du Nozet, Titular Archbishop of ''Seleucia'', and by François Boyvin de Péricard, Bishop of Evreux. Spada Lake
The Culmback Dam (also known as the George Culmback Dam or the Snoqualmie National Forest Dam) is a large rockfill hydroelectric and water supply dam on the Sultan River, a tributary of the Skykomish River, in Washington. Built in 1965, the dam is long at the crest and high. Its reservoir, Spada Lake, provides water for 70 to 75 percent of Snohomish County and feeds the Jackson Hydro Project, providing 112 megawatts of clean energy to Snohomish county. Some critics charge that the dam has strongly impacted the runs of salmon and other migratory fish in the Sultan River by depleting gravel and sediment needed to line the riverbed. The dam's operator counters that Culmback Dam dramatically reduces flooding events, benefiting fish populations and the surrounding communities. The Battle of Cape Spada was a naval battle during the Battle of the Mediterranean in Second World War. It took place on 19 July 1940 in the Mediterranean Sea off Cape Spada, the north-western extremity of Crete. The Spada Codatronca (sometimes called the SVS Codatronca) is an Italian-built supercar introduced by Spada Vetture Sport in 2008. A convertible version, the Spada Codatronca Monza, was introduced in 2012. Both cars used a modified chassis and engine from the Chevrolet Corvette C6, but featured all-new bodywork. Codatronca TS Released in 2008, the Codatronca TS was the first car in the Spada Codatronca line, and featured styling based on that of the Alfa Romeo TZ. The car uses a 7-litre Chevrolet LS7 V8 engine, but with the power output increased to at 6,500 rpm, and of torque. Honda VT250
The VT250 or Spada MC20 is a Honda motorcycle built between late 1988 and the end of 1989. The VT250 Spada used Nissin brakes, Enkei wheels and a Showa rear-shock. The model was principally marketed in Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Following the VT250 Spada, the Honda VTR250 was produced, which had a trellis frame in place of the cast aluminium frame. Predecessor The VT250F is a semi-faired, sport bike first produced by Honda in 1982. The motorcycle had a DOHC 4-valve-per-cylinder, 90-degree water-cooled V-twin engine, which significantly reduced primary vibration when compared to inline twin engines used on similar machines. Palazzo Spada (Terni)
Palazzo Spada is a palace in Terni, Umbria, central Italy, built on behest of Count Michelangelo Spada in the mid-16th century and designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger. It currently serves as the town hall for the city. Alexandre de Rogissart wrote about the palace in the eighteenth century, remarking the beauty of its structure. The inner lounges are decorated with cinquecento frescoes, which were supplemented with newer decorations in the 18th century. The palace passed to the Massarucci family in the 19th century and subsequently was given to the Sisters of the Infant Jesus. After being handed over to the municipal administration of Terni, it was restored to render it fit for its new role as the city's town hall. The Galleria Spada is a museum in Rome, which is housed in the Palazzo Spada on Piazza Capo di Ferro. The palazzo is also famous for its façade and for the forced perspective gallery by Francesco Borromini. The gallery exhibits paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries. The Palazzo Spada is a palace located on Piazza di Capo Ferro #13 in the rione Regola of Rome, Italy. Standing very close to the Palazzo Farnese, it has a garden facing towards the Tiber river.
