''Space Oddity'' is a 2022 American romantic comedy science fiction film directed by Kyra Sedgwick and written by Rebecca Banner. It stars Kyle Allen, Alexandra Shipp, Madeline Brewer, Carrie Preston, Simon Helberg and Kevin Bacon. Premise A man tries to secure insurance in order to go on a one-way trip to Mars. Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (; born August 19, 1965) is an American actress, producer and director. For her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama ''The Closer'', she won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 and an Emmy Award in 2010.
