Spacestation Gaming (also referred to as SSG) is a multi-regional professional esports organization based out of Utah founded and owned by social media influencer Shaun "Shonduras" McBride. Since its founding, SSG has grown to include teams in eight different leagues and is active in esports content creation. They won the Rainbow Six Siege world championship in 2020. History Founding (2017) SSG began with the sponsorship of a Smite Pro League team in 2017, as McBride was a fan of the game. Rocket League
''Rocket League'' is a vehicular soccer video game developed and published by Psyonix. The game was first released for Windows and PlayStation 4 in July 2015, with ports for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch being released later on. In June 2016, 505 Games began distributing a physical retail version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment taking over those duties by the end of 2017. Six Invitational (SI) is an annual world championship tournament for the five-on-five esports video game ''Rainbow Six Siege''. Produced by the game's developer Ubisoft, Six Invitational is the final event of the competitive ''Siege'' season and consists of 20 teams: 16 based on final results from the Season Global Standings; and four from Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific regional qualifiers. SI was first held in Montreal, home of the Ubisoft studio working on the game, until it began to be hosted internationally starting with Six Invitational 2021. The most recent champion is G2 Esports, who won Six Invitational 2023, thus becoming the first team to win Six Invitational more than once.
