Southern Cross Catholic College
The Southern Cross Catholic College (SCCC) is a co-educational Roman Catholic day school located in the suburb of Scarborough on the Redcliffe peninsula north-east of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. History The college opened 30 January 1995 after the amalgamation of several schools on the Redcliffe Peninsula; in particular: De La Salle College - both the Junior and Secondary College (located on Scarborough Road), Frawley College (located on Scarborough Road), Soubirous College, St Bernadette's (Scarborough), Our Lady Help of Christians (Redcliffe) and Our Lady of Lourdes (Woody Point). The De La Salle campus (years 7 to 12), is located in Scarborough and three primary schools (prep to year 6) are located in Scarborough, Woody Point and Kippa-Ring, respectively. Redcliffe is a town and suburb in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. It also refers colloquially to the Redcliffe Peninsula as a whole, a peninsula jutting into Moreton Bay which contains several other suburbs. Michael Lavarch
Michael Hugh Lavarch AO (born 8 June 1961) is an Australian lawyer, educator and former politician. He was the Attorney-General for Australia between 1993 and 1996, and from 2004 to 2012 was Executive Dean of the Faculty of Law at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), his alma mater, where he has been since then emeritus professor. he is co-chair, with Jackie Huggins, of the Eminent Panel for the Indigenous treaty process in Queensland. Leisel Marie Jones, OAM (born 30 August 1985) is an Australian former competition swimmer and Olympic gold medallist. A participant in the 2000 Summer Olympics – at just 15 years old – and 2004 Summer Olympics, she was part of gold-medal-winning Australian team in the women's 4×100-metre medley relay at the Athens Games in 2004 and a gold medallist for 100-metre breaststroke in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Geoff Huegill
Geoffrey Andrew Huegill (born 4 March 1979) is an Australian swimmer and dual Olympian who won seventy-two international medals, including two medals in Olympics and six world champion titles, throughout his career. He held eight world records, including 50 metres butterfly. Huegill has been recognised as technically the best butterflier and was the dominant butterfly champion during the early 2000s. Affectionately known as 'Skippy', he is the nation's favourite comeback kid. Petero Civoniceva ( (Thee-vo-nee-thee-vah); born 21 April 1976), is a Fijian-Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s.
