Southaven High School
Southaven High School is a public secondary school located in Southaven, Mississippi, United States. It began in the fall of 1971, when construction was completed enough so that students could start the first classes. The original school taught 6th through 12th. History Southaven High school was originally built in 1972. The building it was originally built added a junior high in 1996. In 2004, the citizens of Southaven, MS voted to build a new high school (where is currently located) and make where the high school was a middle school. The new facility was finished in fall of 2006, and classes started in 2007 at the new building. Athletics Males and females have their own teams for basketball, soccer, track, cross country, bowling ', and golf. Only males can play football and baseball. Southaven, Mississippi
Southaven is a city in DeSoto County, Mississippi, United States. It is a principal city in Greater Memphis. The 2020 census reported a population of 54,648, making Southaven the third-largest city in Mississippi and the second most populous suburb of Memphis. Southaven is traversed north to south by the I-55/I-69 freeway. The city's name derives from the fact that Southaven is located south of Whitehaven, a neighborhood in Memphis. Terence B. Davis II (born May 16, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Ole Miss Rebels. After going undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft, he signed with the Toronto Raptors and was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2020. Reagan Rust (born February 25, 1997) is an American ice hockey player, playing in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) the Metropolitan Riveters. She was the first NCAA Division I women's ice hockey player to have come from the state of Mississippi, and is a member of the Beanpot Hall of Fame. Career Amateur Rust was introduced to the sport of hockey at the age of five, joining a rec league organized by the Mississippi RiverKings. Ole Miss Rebels Men's Basketball
The Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team represents the University of Mississippi in the sport of basketball. The Rebels compete in the NCAA Division I and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They started the 2015–16 season playing home games at Tad Smith Coliseum on the university's Oxford campus, but played their final game in that facility on December 22, 2015.
