South Shore Kings
The South Shore Kings are a Tier III Junior A ice hockey team playing in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL). The team plays at the Foxboro Sports Center located in Foxboro, Massachusetts. The organization fields Tier III teams in the USPHL Premier and Elite Divisions. The Kings also offer youth hockey select teams at the Bantam, Peewee, and Squirt and other various levels. History The franchise, then known as the NECDL Classics, is a charter member of the Eastern Junior Hockey League (EJHL) since 1993. In 1997 the Classics became the Walpole Stars, remaining as such until 2006, when it changed its name to the Foxboro Stars. One year later the team aligned itself with the South Shore Kings organization (which had fielded midget team), becoming known as the South Shore Kings. The Green Mountain Glades is a Tier III Junior A ice hockey team in the Eastern Junior Hockey League's North Division from 2000-2017. Overview The team played its home games at Cairns Arena, a 600-seat arena in the suburb of South Burlington, Vermont, as well as the 4,003-seat Gutterson Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Vermont on certain occasions. Noel Acciari
Noel Acciari (born December 1, 1991) is an American professional ice hockey center for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Amateur As a youth, Acciari played in the 2004 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from South Shore. Acciari attended Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick, Rhode Island, where he won the state championship in his freshman year. He helped Hendricken defeat Mount St. Charles academy in the finals being played at Providence College. He was also the captain of the Kent School team in Kent, Connecticut, and graduated from there in 2011. Prior to turning professional, Acciari attended Providence College, where he played three seasons of NCAA Division I hockey with the Providence Friars, registering 32 goals, 33 assists, 65 points and 72 penalty minutes in 113 games. Minnesota Junior Hockey League
The Minnesota Junior Hockey League (MnJHL) was a USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier III junior ice hockey league operated out of Minneapolis-Saint Paul. History Established in 1974, the MnJHL developed players 20 years old and younger for over 40 years. Many MnJHL players, coaches and officials alumni have moved on to college hockey and professional hockey leagues. Since the inaugural season, the MnJHL had expanded up to 17 teams in the 2014–15 season with teams in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio. Northern Lights Hockey is a nonprofit organization that fielded a Tier III Jr. A ice hockey team located in Bloomington, Minnesota, USA, a southwest suburb of Minneapolis-Saint Paul. Northern Lights Hockey played in the Minnesota Junior Hockey League (MnJHL), a college preparatory league. Although the nonprofit does not have a current hockey team, the organization still exists and provides other sports services while it keeps the option open of fielding hockey teams at various youth / junior levels. The Walpole Express is a junior, youth, and girls hockey organization based in Walpole, Massachusetts. They have had more than 70 commitments since 2017, and that includes multiple division 1 college committees. Western States Hockey League
The Western States Hockey League (WSHL) was a junior ice hockey league established in 1993. It was sanctioned by the United Hockey Union, the junior hockey branch of the Amateur Athletic Union. Previously, it was sanctioned by USA Hockey from 1994 to 2011. Teams played approximately 50 games in the regular season schedule, mimicking what players would experience at the collegiate level. The Phoenix Polar Bears were a USA Hockey-sanctioned Junior A Tier III ice hockey team based out of Phoenix, Arizona. Their host facility was the Desert Schools Coyotes Center in Chandler, Arizona. The Polar Bears were a member of the Western States Hockey League but vacated their membership in the league when the WSHL moved away from USA Hockey sanctioning in 2011. History The Phoenix Polar Bears were formed as an expansion team by Harry Mahood for the Western States Hockey League in 1999.
