The South Korea men's national tennis team represents South Korea in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Korea Tennis Association. In 2020, South Korea will compete in World Group I. 1960 Davis Cup
The 1960 Davis Cup was the 49th edition of the Davis Cup, the most important tournament between national teams in men's tennis. 28 teams entered the Europe Zone, 6 teams entered the America Zone, and 6 teams entered the Eastern Zone. South Korea made its first appearance in the tournament. The United States defeated Venezuela in the Americas Inter-Zonal final, the Philippines defeated India in the Eastern Zone final, and Italy defeated Sweden in the Europe Zone final. In the Inter-Zonal Zone, the United States defeated the Philippines in the semifinal, and then Italy defeated the United States in the final. In the Challenge Round Italy were defeated by the defending champions Australia. The final was played at White City Stadium in Sydney on 26–28 December. It was Italy's first appearance in a Davis Cup final, and it was the first final not to feature the United States since 1936. Chung Yunseong
Chung Yun-seong ( ko, 정윤성; born 27 March 1998) is a South Korean tennis player. Chung has a career high ATP singles ranking of No. 233 achieved on 22 July 2019. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 129 achieved on 22 May 2023. Chung has won three doubles ATP Challenger titles as well as four ITF singles and five doubles titles. On the junior tour, Chung had a career-high combined ranking of 3 achieved on 21 March 2016. Chung was a semifinalist at the 2016 Australian Open boys' singles event and the 2015 US Open boys' singles event where he fell to both eventual champions Oliver Anderson and Taylor Fritz, respectively. Chung was also a singles finalist at the Osaka Mayor's Cup in 2014.
