South Keys Station
South Keys station is a stop on Ottawa's transitway system. Operated by OC Transpo, it is last station at the southern end of the Transitway, just north of Hunt Club Road. The station is located in the South Keys neighbourhood of Ottawa at the south end of the South Keys Shopping Centre beside the Cineplex Odeon South Keys Cinemas, between Bank Street and the Airport Parkway. The station was opened to traffic with the southern transitway on September 2, 1995. OC Transpo bus route 97 continues on the Airport Parkway from Greenboro to the most southern station, Airport station, while other routes such as routes 98 and 99 exit at Hunt Club Road. Previously, City Council approved the addition of an O-Train station at South Keys (instead of Lester) in conjunction of the expansion of the north–south light rail line. Ottawa Transitway
The Transitway is a bus rapid transit (BRT) network operated by OC Transpo in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It comprises a series of bus-only roadways and reserved lanes on city streets and highways. The dedicated busways ensure that buses and emergency vehicles on the Transitway rarely intersect directly with the regular traffic, and make it possible for them to continue at full speed even during rush hour. OC Transpo operates a network of rapid routes which use the Transitway to connect communities with the O-Train light rail system. Additional bus routes also use segments of the Transitway. The Transitway opened in 1983 with five stations. The network expanded greatly to include over fifty stations at its peak. Airport Parkway (Ottawa)
Airport Parkway ( Ottawa Route 79) is an expressway in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It runs from the Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport to an interchange with Heron Road where it turns into Bronson Avenue. Route description Airport Parkway is a two-lane expressway for most of its length, and is home to one of Ontario's only two single-point urban interchanges at its Hunt Club Road exit. The speed limit is for its entire length. The Airport Parkway begins after leaving the airport, where it immediately interchanges with Lester Road. The Parkway turns northwards and traverses through some forest before encountering Hunt Club Road, which it interchanges it with an SPUI, the only kind in Canada. Vandalism
Vandalism is the action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property. The term includes property damage, such as graffiti and defacement directed towards any property without permission of the owner. The term finds its roots in an Enlightenment view that the Germanic Vandals were a uniquely destructive people. Etymology The Vandals, an ancient Germanic people, are associated with senseless destruction as a result of their sack of Rome under King Genseric in 455. During the Enlightenment, Rome was idealized, while the Goths and Vandals were blamed for its destruction. Trillium Line
The Trillium Line (french: Ligne Trillium), also called O-Train Line 2 (french: Ligne 2 de l'O-Train), is a diesel light rail transit (DLRT) service in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, operated by OC Transpo. O-Train
The O-Train is a light metro transit system in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, operated by OC Transpo. The O-Train system has two lines, the electrically-operated Confederation Line (Line 1) and the diesel-operated Trillium Line (Line 2). Since May 2020, Stage 2 construction has temporarily shut down Line 2, with replacement bus service being offered at all stations. When Line 2 reopens in mid-2023, it will extend southward to Limebank station and incorporate five newly constructed stations, as well as an additional line ( Line 4) linking Line 2 to Ottawa International Airport which will replace the current bus service from route 97. Airport Station (Ottawa)
Airport (french: Aéroport) is an under construction O-Train rapid transit station. It will be located at the Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport in the south end of Ottawa. Estimated for completion in fall 2023, it will serve as the southern terminus of the three-stop Line 4. The airport is currently served by an OC Transpo bus stop. Service Route 97 is the only bus that services this stop. It is the southern terminus for this route. From Airport station, Route 97 continues northward and terminates at Hurdman station on the O-Train Confederation Line.
