North Carolina Highway 75 (NC 75) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. Its entire length runs through Union County and serves as the primary connector between the towns of Waxhaw, Mineral Springs, and Monroe. The route roughly parallels a CSX railroad line for its entire span. Route description NC 75 starts at the North Carolina-South Carolina state line, near Hancock, South Carolina. In South Carolina, it continues as SC 75 for to SC 5, in Van Wyck. Heading east from the state line, it becomes South Main Street in Waxhaw, where it connects with the southern terminus of NC 16, at Broome Street. Andrew Jackson State Park
Andrew Jackson State Park is a South Carolina state park established in 1952 to honor the only South Carolina-born president, Andrew Jackson, who was born nearby in 1767. The park is on U.S. Highway 521 about nine miles north of Lancaster, South Carolina. The park offers hiking, boating, camping, fishing and picnicking. There are 25 camping spaces with paved road access. Each space has water hookup and electricity. They are often full on weekends, But not during the week. South Carolina Highway 12 (SC 12) is a state highway in the U.S. state of South Carolina. It serves Columbia and areas to its east. It serves as a parallel route to Interstate 20 (I-20) for much of its length. Monroe, North Carolina
Monroe is a city in and the county seat of Union County, North Carolina, United States. The population increased from 32,797 in 2010 to 34,551 in 2020. It is within the rapidly growing Charlotte metropolitan area. Monroe has a council-manager form of government. History Monroe was founded as a planned settlement. Van Wyck, South Carolina
Van Wyck is a town in the panhandle of Lancaster County, South Carolina, United States. It is part of the Charlotte Metropolitan Area. Van Wyck is south of Charlotte. Established in the 1880s, it was to be originally named "Cocheecho", after a young Indian chief, by the Seaboard Air Line Railroad. The community opted for "Little Waxhaw" instead; however, this caused issues with the U.S. Postal Service because of confusion with nearby Waxhaw, North Carolina. The name was soon changed to "Heaths", to honor the family who gave the land for the depot, but this name was quickly dropped because of confusion with Heath Springs, South Carolina. An agent of the railroad stepped in and proposed naming the community in honor of his wife's family in upstate New York.
