South Auckland Rangers
South Auckland Rangers is an association football club in New Zealand, affiliated to Northern Region Football. The club play at the brand new Rongomai Park in Manukau, Auckland. The team are regular entrants to the Chatham Cup, their best performance coming in 1995, when they reached the Fifth Round (last 16 stage). History The club started as the Otara Rangers in 1973. In 1989 the Otara Rangers (based at Ngati Otara) merged with Clove nor Park United to form the club now known as "The South Auckland Rangers" and remained based at Ngati Otara until 1989. The club moved to James Watson Park due to a promise made by the Manukau City Council to provide grounds solely for soccer use, so as to avoid any conflict with rugby league. NRF League One
The NRF League One is a New Zealand amateur football league. The league is run by Northern Region Football, an amalgamation of the Auckland Football Federation and Northern Football Federation, and includes football clubs located in Northland and Auckland. It comprises half of the fifth tier of football in the northern North Island, alongside the WaiBOP Premiership. Up until 2022, the competition was known as NRF Championship. The fixtures are played generally from April to September. The league winners are promoted to the NRFL Northern Confernce. Until 2022 the second-place team entered a two-game playoff series with the champions of the WaiBOP Premiership (now WaiBOP League One), with the winner being promoted. Teams can be relegated from this division, however only one team representing each club can progress into this division and beyond. The Chatham Cup is New Zealand's premier Single-elimination tournament, knockout tournament in men's association football. It is held annually, with the final contested in September. The 1995 Chatham Cup was the 68th annual nationwide knockout football competition in New Zealand. Up to the last 16 of the competition, the cup was run in three regions (northern, central, and southern), with an open draw from the quarter-finals on. National League teams received a bye until the third round (last 64). Mangere United
Mangere United is a community football club football (soccer) club in Mangere, Auckland, New Zealand. They are currently a member of the Auckland Football Federation.
