South African Cricket Team In New Zealand In 1994–95
The South African national cricket team toured New Zealand in February and March 1995 and played a single Test match against the hosts to celebrate the centenary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, as well as a pair of tour games. The tour was the South African team's first to New Zealand since 1964, and their seventh overseas tour since their readmission to the International Cricket Council in 1991. South Africa won the single Test match by 93 runs. Ken Rutherford (cricketer)
Kenneth Robert Rutherford (born 26 October 1965) is a former New Zealand cricketer who enjoyed a ten-year career with the national team, and was captain for a period in the 1990s. He is the 50th ODI cap for New Zealand. Family Rutherford's elder brother Ian Rutherford also played first-class cricket as a batsman for Otago from 1974–75 to 1983–84. Gary Kirsten (born 23 November 1967) is a South African cricket coach and former cricketer. He has coached the Indian Cricket Team as well as the South African Cricket team. Shane Alexander Thomson (born 27 January 1969) is a former New Zealand international cricketer. He played as a genuine all-rounder, making 19 Test and 56 One Day International appearances for New Zealand. Thomson was born in Hamilton, Waikato in 1969.
