South African Sports Confederation And Olympic Committee
The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (SASCOC) ( af, Suid-Afrikaanse Sportkonfederasie en Olimpiese Komitee) is the National Olympic Committee (NOC) and National Paralympic Committee (NPC) for South Africa, and the responsible body for South Africa at the Commonwealth Games. It is also responsible for high-performance sport in the country and coordinates the relationship with various list of international sports federations, international sports federations. At the Annual General Meeting held on 9 December 2013, SASCOC decided to de-register as a non-profit company. Weightlifting at the 2018 Commonwealth Games was held in the Gold Coast from April 5 to 9. The Weightlifting competition was held at the Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre. A total of eight men's and eight women's events were held.
