Seydouba Soumah (born 11 June 1991) is a Guinean professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Guinea national team. Club career Ajax Cape Town Born in Conakry, the capital of Guinea, Soumah began his football career playing on the streets, before moving to South Africa and joining the youth system of Ajax Cape Town as a teenager. He was initially sent out on season-long loans to National First Division sides Ikapa Sporting (2008–09) and FC Cape Town ( 2009–10), before returning to his parent club. On 21 January 2011, Soumah made his debut for Ajax in the Premier Soccer League, coming off the bench in a 3–0 away victory against Platinum Stars. Amara Soumah (born 8 October 1990) is a Guinean footballer who last played for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the USL. Early life Soumah was born in Conakry, Guinea. He moved to the United States at age 13 and lived with relatives in Denver, Colorado. Youth and college As a youth, Soumah was a member of the local Colorado Rush and Real Colorado club teams, and the academy of the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. He was with the Rapids Academy, part of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, from 2007 to 2010. Soumah played his freshman and sophomore years of college with the Cougars of Illinois Central College. He earned the team's "Forward of the Year" award his freshman year and its "Player of the Year" award his sophomore season. Momo Wandel Soumah
Momo Wandel Soumah (1926 - June 15, 2003) was a singer, composer, and saxophonist from Guinea, recognisable by his characteristic gravelly voice. Soumah started out in the 1950s playing in dance bands, but moved to modern Guinean music following the cultural revolution. He was a part of the greatly influential Syli Orchestra (originally Syli Orchestre National) who were formed under the instruction of the first elected president Sekou Toure. The group of Guinea's elite musicians were selected to travel throughout Guinea and inspire and instruct musicians across the country and help set up the regional orchestras that were key to Sekou Toure's 'Authenticité' programme to promote and proliferate 'authentic' Guinean traditional music after colonial rule. From the mid 1980s Soumah developed an idiosyncratic blend of jazz and African traditional music. He died suddenly on June 15, 2003. Richard Soumah (born 6 October 1986) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder. Born in France, he represented Guinea at International level. Career Born in Créteil, he started his career at Rennes, before moving to Guingamp in 2004. He made his professional debut in the 2005–06 season. Fodé Soumah is a politician from Guinea. Soumah was a prominent figure in the ruling Party of Unity and Progress and was appointed as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Guinea. Following the 2003 Guinean presidential election, Soumah was appointed the Minister of Youth and Sports. In this post, he also headed the nation's Olympic Committee. Soumah was indicted in December 2006 for complicity, while Deputy Governor of the Bank, in the withdrawal of $22 million by Mamadou Sylla. Along with Sylla, he was released by the personal intervention of President Lansana Conté.
