Operator (band)
Operator is an American post-grunge band from Los Angeles, California, United States. The name Operator was used for a solo project created by Johnny Strong, an actor and musician, who has appeared in movies such as '' Black Hawk Down'' (2001), ''The Fast and the Furious'' (2001), ''Get Carter'' (2000) and ''The Glimmer Man'' (1996). History The first Operator album, ''Can You Hear Me Now'' (2003), was a self-released demo, and is very hard to find as well as sold out on the band's website. But soon, it attracted the attention of Atlantic Records, which signed Operator in 2007. Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Post-grunge is a derivative of grunge that has a less abrasive or intense tone than traditional grunge. "Nothing to Lose" is the second single from album '' Soulcrusher'' by the hard rock band Operator was written by frontman Johnny Strong and bass player Wade Carpenter. Also the song is the second track on the album. The band made a video for this song included tour performance and tour backstages and showing the band in their other playgrounds. The band filmed a second music video that featured the band performing in a warehouse with red lights and with various images appearing on screens behind them. ''Burnout Paradise'' is a 2008 open world racing video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. It was also released on the PlayStation Store and via Xbox Live Marketplace's Games on Demand. John Christopher Strong (born July 22, 1974) is an American actor, composer, and musician. He is best known for his roles in ''Black Hawk Down'' (as Medal of Honor recipient Randy Shughart) and ''The Fast and the Furious'' as Leon. Aside from acting, Strong is also the lead vocalist and founder of the band Operator, movie composer, movie writer and movie producer. Early life and education Strong was born in Los Angeles County, California. At the age of 7 he began studying martial arts, taking up Judo in the San Fernando Valley. Paul James Phillips (born June 26, 1975) is an American guitar player and songwriter, most famous for being a member of the band Puddle of Mudd from 2001 to 2005 and again from 2009 to 2011. He has also played in the bands Happy Hour, Operator, Society Red and Rev Theory. He is currently working on a new project called The Fallout Collective, DJing on The Fox 107.7, and had a guest appearance on the TV show ''Real Fear'' on Chiller.
