The band recorded the album at Black Bird Studios, which is owned and operated by country artist Martina McBride, in Nashville, Tennessee. It was produced and mixed by veteran rock producer Bob Marlette (Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Saliva, Seether, Shinedown). The album was available for audio streaming through NME as of August 13, 2008, and for general release on August 18. Black Stone Cherry is an American rock band, formed in 2001 in Edmonton, Kentucky. They were signed to Roadrunner Records until 2015; the band is now signed to Mascot Label Group. The band consists of Chris Robertson (lead vocals, lead guitar), Ben Wells (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Steve Jewell (bass, backing vocals) and John Fred Young (drums, backing vocals). His production, writing and mixing credits include David Lee Roth, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Sebastian Bach, Rob Halford, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Seether, Atreyu, and Ill Niño.
