Soul Jah Love
Soul Muzavazi Musaka, known professionally as Soul Jah Love (22 November 1989 – 16 February 2021), was an award-winning Zimbabwean musician credited as a pioneer of mainstream Zimdancehall. He was declared a hero for his contributions to music. Among several hit singles, Soul Jah Love had tracks ''"Ndini Uya Uya",'' "''Gum-kum''" ''(2012),'' ''"Pamamonya Ipapo''.''"'' (2016) Posthumous work included ''"Ndichafa Rinhi"'' (2021). He also won numerous ZIMA awards for ''"Ndini Uya Uya",'' "''Gum-kum''" ''(2012),'' ''"Pamamonya Ipapo''.''"'' (2016). Harare
Harare (; formerly Salisbury ) is the capital and most populous city of Zimbabwe. The city proper has an area of 940 km2 (371 mi2) and a population of 2.12 million in the 2012 census and an estimated 3.12 million in its metropolitan area in 2019. Zimdancehall
Zimdancehall is a subgenre of reggae/dancehall music from Zimbabwe. The traditional way of message delivery is through chanting. Zimdancehall became more popular after the fall of the Urban Grooves genre. Popular pioneers of Zimdancehall include Winky D, Sniper Storm, Daddie Distress, Ras Tavonga (Jah Bless), Freeman HKD, Lewaz Skattah to mention a few. History Zimdancehall started in the late 1980s with the rising up of local sound systems. The popularity of these recordings led to more studio recordings. By the end of the 90s, a number of local youths were recording singles and albums independently and reggae bands like Cruxial Mix (Trevor Hall) and Black Roots holding regular weekly shows to showcase artists. Roki (musician)
Rockford Josphat (born July 7, 1985), better known by his stage names Roki or Rocqui, is a Zimbabwean contemporary musician, who has also tapped into acting. Born in Madagascar and raised in ParkTown Waterfalls Harare, Roki made his debut in 2001 after releasing hits such as "Seiko" which featured Leonard Mapfumo and Suzanna. Proud holder of the "most Promising Artist for 2003" through the prestigious National Arts Merit Awards of Zimbabwe(NAMA), Roki has made a name for himself as a gifted songwriter and exceptional performer. His album which carried the undying hit "Chidzoka" won best video of the year and song of the year in 2007. In 2012, Roki participated in the Big Brother Africa 7 show, he was tipped to win, but was disqualified after an altercation with fellow Zimbabwean house mate Maneta. Winky D
Winky D (born Wallace Chirumiko,1 February 1983) is a Zimbabwean reggae-dancehall artist, known popularly as "The Big Man" (stylized as "Di Bigman"), and also known as Dancehall Igwe, Gaffa, Ninja President, Proffessor, Extraterrestrial (stylized as ChiExtra) etc. He is often considered the Zimdancehall pioneer and one of the most accomplished modern Zimbabwean music artists. Not much is known about his wife but he in a few songs has mentioned his child's name Tayenda. The gaffas have continued to defend him about this issue claiming that it could be because of the respect he has for his family that he keeps them far from drama. He was born in Kambuzuma, a high density suburb in Zimbabwe's capital, Harare. Diabetes, also known as diabetes mellitus, is a group of metabolic disorders characterized by a high blood sugar level ( hyperglycemia) over a prolonged period of time.
