Sotra Sportsklubb is a Norwegian sports club from Sotra, Hordaland. Founded as ''Idrettslaget Øygard'' on 7 June 1945, the club's current activities consist of athletics, basketball, boxing, football, handball and gymnastics. History IL Øygard Idrettslaget Øygard was founded 7 June 1945 in Fjell municipality at Sotra. 13 June 2007, IL Øygard met Brann in the second round of the 2007 Norwegian Cup. Brann won the game with the score 5–0. In 2009, IL Øygard merged with ''Foldnes IL'' and ''Brattholmen IL'' to become Sotra SK. Before the merger, IL Øygard's men's football team played in 3. divisjon (fourth tier), and played their home games at Straume Idrettspark. Renate Blindheim
Renate Køppen Blindheim (born 17 March 1994) is a Norwegian football manager and former footballer who is currently manager of Norwegian 2. divisjon club Sotra. In June 2020, Blindheim gained attention for being the first female manager to manage a professional Norwegian men's football team. Early life Blindheim grew up in Bergen and aspired to be a professional footballer from a young age. She represented Norway 3 times at youth level, featuring alongside future Norway senior international players such as Guro Reiten and Caroline Graham Hansen. Blindheim struggled with injuries and, at the age of 17, retired from football after a serious foot injury. After this, she decided to focus on coaching her younger sister. Øygarden is a Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestland Counties of Norway, county, Norway. Tommy Knarvik
Tommy Knarvik (born 1 November 1979) is a Norwegian football coach and a former player who is the manager of Øygarden FK. As a player he came through the academy at Leeds United and also represented Norway U21s at international level. Career He most known for his period in SK Brann. In his early years, Knarvik was a junior player at Leeds United, where he won the FA Youth Cup in 1997. He was awarded the title of "Young Player of the Year" at Leeds, despite competition from such players as Jonathan Woodgate and Harry Kewell. Knarvik only made one appearance for the senior team: as a substitute against Portsmouth in the FA Cup on 23 January 1999. He had a trial at Hartlepool United in November 2000. After a few good seasons in Brann, his performance dropped. He was loaned out to Bryne FK but the manager there did not offer a regular contract.
