Sotajumala
Sotajumala (Finnish for ''"Wargod"'') was a Finnish death metal band from Jyväskylä, formed in 1998. The band has released four albums, two maxi singles, one single and one split EP (with Torture Killer). They have played a lot of shows in their home country, including Tuska, Jalometalli, Nummirock, Lutakko Liekeissä and Pellavarock festivals. In Finland the band has also toured with Nile, Misery Index and Grave as well as supported Obituary, Napalm Death and Vader at one-off shows. The band split-up in 2016. History Sotajumala was started by Tomi Otsala and Kosti Orbinski in 1998. In 2000 Arttu Romo, Pete Lapio, Jyrki Häkkinen and Harri Lastu joined the band, thus completing its first full line-up. In September 2001 the band recorded their first release entitled ''Sotajumala'' which eventually led to Woodcut Records signing the band. Guitarist Pete Lapio left the band shortly thereafter. Tuska Open Air Metal Festival
Tuska Open Air Metal Festival, commonly shortened to Tuska ( fi, pain, agony), is a Finnish Heavy metal music, heavy metal rock festival, festival taking place annually in Helsinki. The first Tuska took place in 1998 and the festival has since grown larger every year. The location of the festival has been in Kaisaniemi park in the middle of the city from 2001. However, since 2011, Tuska has taken place at the Suvilahti event field in the Kalasatama neighbourhood of the Sörnäinen Subdivisions of Helsinki, district. The festival dates have always been in either June or July. In recent years the attendance has grown and the festival has drawn up to 43,000 people in 2019. Torture Killer
Torture Killer is a Finnish death metal band from Turku, formed in 2002. The band consists of five members: guitarists Jari Laine and Tuomas Karppinen, bassist Kim Torniainen, drummer Tuomo Latvala and the current vocalist Pessi Haltsonen. The band was originally a Six Feet Under cover band adopting their moniker from a Six Feet Under song, but soon began composing and performing original material in the same vein. Chris Barnes, the original singer for Cannibal Corpse and current singer for Six Feet Under, officially joined Torture Killer as lead singer in November 2005 and was a part of the recording of the album ''Swarm!''. He left the band in January 2008. Barnes was not involved with their live performances while a part of the band.
