Sorin Anghel
Sorin Vasile Anghel (born 16 July 1979) is a Romanian football manager and former footballer. Biography Anghel moved from Romania to the Faroe Islands at the age of twenty-one. Anghel played for Faroese side EB/Streymur, helping the club win the league. He was described as a "well-known player in the Faroe Islands, where he also received the award for the best foreign player in this country". Anghel received an offer to play for the Faroe Islands national football team. Anghel operated as a central defender and striker while playing for EB/Streymur. Anghel managed Faroese side Skála ÍF Skála Ítróttarfelag (Skála ÍF) is a Faroese football club based in Skáli, municipality of Runavík. The club was founded on 15 May 1965. EB/Streymur
EB/Streymur is a Faroe Islands, Faroese semi-professional association football, football club based in Streymnes and Eiði. The club was founded in 1993, as result of the merger between Eiðis Bóltfelag, EB and Ítróttarfelagið Streymur, Streymur. They have won the Faroe Islands Premier League twice and the Faroe Islands Cup four times. History The club is a result of a merger in 1993 between Eiðis Bóltfelag, who were founded on 23 February 1913, and Ítróttarfelagid Streymur, Streymur, founded in 1976. Prior to the merger, both Eiðis Bóltfelag, EB Eiði and Streymur usually played their football in the second or third division. Faroe Islands National Football Team
The Faroe Islands national football team ( fo, Føroyska fótbóltsmanslandsliðið) represents the Faroe Islands in association football and is governed by the Faroe Islands Football Association (FSF). The FSF became a member of FIFA in 1988 and UEFA in 1990 and represents the fourth-smallest UEFA country by population. The team has never advanced to the finals of the FIFA World Cup or UEFA European Championship. They took part in the Island Games in 1989 and 1991 and won both tournaments. Skála ÍF
Skála Ítróttarfelag (Skála ÍF) is a Faroese football club based in Skáli, municipality of Runavík. The club was founded on 15 May 1965. They currently play in the Betrideildin, which is the top football league of the Faroe Islands. They were promoted to the top league after winning the 2015 season of 1, deild with 70 points. They were also promoted to the top tier after the 2013 season, but were relegated after one year in the Effodeildin.
