Sorcha Richardson
Sorcha Richardson (born 22 September 1990) is an Irish singer-songwriter from Dublin. Early life Sorcha Richardson grew up in Dalkey. She formed her first band aged 10 with schoolfriends. She went to Brooklyn to study creative writing. Career Richardson came back to Dublin in late 2017. In 2018 she played at Longitude Festival and was named as one of RTÉ 2FM's Rising Artists, and she has worked with the Irish band All Tvvins. Her debut album ''First Prize Bravery'' (on the theme of "negotiating friendships and relationships") was released in 2019 and was nominated for the Choice Music Prize. She collaborated with Soulé and Elaine Mai on a single, ''Butterflies'', in 2019 as part of the Three Ireland ''Made by Music'' campaign. In 2022, she released ''Smiling Like an Idiot''. Samantha Kay, known professionally as Soulé (Stylised as SOULÉ, born 4 January 1995) is an Irish singer-songwriter who was born in London but raised in Dublin Early life Soulé was born Samantha Kay in London, England to Congolese parents from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The family moved to Ireland and settled in Balbriggan, County Dublin when Soulé was 12. She attended the Loreto school in Balbriggan. She auditioned for ''The X-Factor'' in the UK at age 16, but did not progress through to the television show. The Irish Albums Chart is the Irish music industry standard albums popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA). The charts were previously compiled on behalf of IRMA by Chart-Track, and have been compiled by the Official Charts Company since 2017. Chart rankings are based on sales, which are compiled through over-the-counter retail data captured electronically each day from retailers' Point of sale systems and certain digital retailers. All major record stores and over forty independents submit data for the charts, accounting for over 80% of the market, according to Chart-Track. A new chart is compiled and released to the public by the Irish Recorded Music Association on Friday at noon. The Choice Music Prize (), known for sponsorship reasons as the RTÉ Choice Music Prize is an annual music prize awarded to the best album from a band or solo musician who is born in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland or holds an Irish passport. For bands, the majority of members must have been born in the island of Ireland or hold an Irish passport. Dalkey
Dalkey ( ; ) is an affluent suburb of Dublin, and a seaside resort southeast of the city, and the town of Dún Laoghaire, in the county of Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown in the historic County Dublin, Ireland.
