Sorcerers Safari Magic Camp
Sorcerers Safari Magic Camp is a performance arts camp dedicated to teaching the art of magic to young people. History Sorcerer's Safari is the creation of Torontonian Mike Segal, who has worked as a magician since high school. In 1996, the program started with only a small number of day campers only. In 1997, ten magic enthusiasts joined Segal and his wife and staff at Camp Tamarack. The camp's student body includes youths from Japan, South Africa, Belgium, France and England to be taught by professional magicians. The camp became part of the Ontario Camping Association (OCA) in 2004. Classes Performance related activities found at magic camp include, card magic class, coin magic class, balloon twisting, linking rings, and juggling. Other activities include the Stage workshops. The Magic Circular
The Magic Circle is a British organization dedicated to promoting and advancing the art of magic. Applicants must qualify for membership, either through a performance exam or by a written thesis on a branch of magic, after which they are designated Members of The Magic Circle (M.M.C.). Further distinctions may earn them the titles Associate of the Inner Magic Circle (A.I.M.C.); and Member of The Inner Magic Circle (M.I.M.C), a select group limited to 300 members. Greg Frewin
Greg Frewin is a Canadian illusionist and "World Champion of Magic". His awards include First Place at the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM); The Gold Medal of Excellence, also from the IBM; First Place at the Society of American Magicians' annual magic convention competition; and first place at FISM, the "Olympics of Magic", which were held in Yokohama, Japan in 1994. Shawn Farquhar (born June 7, 1962) is a Canadian magician and illusionist notable for his title as the "Grand Prix World Champion of Magic" from the International Federation of Magic Societies. Lee Asher
Lee Asher (born 1976) is a close-up magician noted for originating new card tricks and hypnotic sleight of hand moves. He is considered an expert in playing cards, and as a collector is especially known for his work with 52 Plus Joker, the American Playing Card Collectors Club, of which he is the serving President.
