Soque River
The Soque River (Cherokee: ᏐᏈ) (Soquee River per 1972 Board on Geographic Names decision) and its watershed are located entirely within the county boundaries of Habersham County in northeast Georgia. The Soque is a tributary of the Chattahoochee River. Portions of the river run along State Route 197. The highest point in the watershed occurs on Tray Mountain. Batesville is a mountain community situated at the intersection of modern Georgia State Route 197 and 255 in the Northeast Georgia mountains of Habersham County, United States. Georgia State Route 365
State Route 365 (SR 365) is a state highway that travels within portions of Gwinnett, Hall, Habersham, and Stephens counties. It begins at exit 113 on Interstate 85 (I-85), at the southeastern edge of Suwanee. This is also the southern terminus of I-985. It continues from that point concurrent with I-985 for the entire length of that freeway. Eventually, U.S. Route 23 (US 23) also joins the concurrency. Lake Burton is a 2,775 acre (11.23 km²) reservoir with 62 miles (100 km) of shoreline located in the northeastern corner of Georgia in Rabun County. The lake is owned and administered by the Georgia Power/Southern Company, but it is a public lake.
