Sophie Harris (born 25 August 1994) is an English Association football, football Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper who plays for Watford F.C. Women, Watford of the FA Women's Championship. Harris is from North Hykeham in Lincoln, England. She began playing for Lincoln City F.C., Lincoln City's centre of excellence. In 2010 she was called into England women's national under-17 football team and moved to London to join Arsenal Women F.C., Arsenal's academy. Harris progressed into Arsenal's first team squad, but her development was temporarily derailed by a shoulder injury and the untimely death of her mother. She moved to Nottingham Forest L.F.C., Nottingham Forest on Loan (sports), loan and then signed for London Bees ahead of the 2014 FA WSL season. London Bees is an English women's football club affiliated with Barnet F.C. They play in the FA Women's National League South. The club has been in existence under several names since 1975, originally being called District Line Ladies F.C.. The team were re-branded as London Bees after joining the new WSL 2 for the 2014 season. The club have a first team and a youth academy; both train and play at the Hive Stadium. History The club began in 1975 as District Line Ladies FC, then merged with Wembley FC in 1993 to become Wembley Ladies FC. In 1997 the club moved to play at Hanwell Town FC but kept the Wembley Ladies name.
