''Soorya Manasam'' is a 1992 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by Viji Thampi and written by Sab John. The film stars Mammootty, along with Sowcar Janaki, Vaishnavi, Vinodini, Raghuvaran, Riza Bava and Jagathy Sreekumar playing supporting roles. The film revolves around Putturumees, a mentally challenged man and his mother who face several social issues in their village. Viji Thampi
Viji Thampi is an Indian film director, actor and social activist who works in Malayalam films. Thampi is a member of Thiruvananthapuram regional board of the Central Board of Film Certification and the State Advisor of Kerala Kshetra Samrakshana Samithi. In 2021, Thampi was appointed as the Kerala state president of Vishva Hindu Parishad. Career After making his directorial debut with the 1988 film ''David David Mr. David'', Thampi directed a series of comedy films in the 1990s which turned out to be commercial hits. Viji Thampi is known for appearing in cameo roles in his own films. Siddique (actor)
Siddique (born 1 October 1962) is an Indian actor and producer, who works mainly in Malayalam cinema. Along with appearing in over 350 Malayalam films, he has also acted in a few Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language films. He is known for having played a wide range of starring and supporting roles, including comic characters, romantic leads, anti-heroes and villains. Siddik made his acting debut with the film '' Aa Neram Alppa Dooram'' (1985). He got a break with the comedy film ''In Harihar Nagar'' (1990). ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. In 1999, eight years after the group's founder Ramnath Goenka's death in 1991, the group was split between the family members.
