Sooner Lake
Sooner Lake is a reservoir in Pawnee and Noble counties in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. It was built in 1972 to serve as a reservoir of cooling water for a coal-fired power generation plant owned by Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company (OG&E). The plant is at the northwest end of the lake. The normal elevation is . Maximum depth is and average depth is . The lake covers and has a water capacity of . The shoreline is long. The lake is not far from the Arkansas River. It was originally filled by pumping water from the river and is maintained at the desired level the same way. Bald Eagle
The bald eagle (''Haliaeetus leucocephalus'') is a bird of prey found in North America. A sea eagle, it has two known subspecies and forms a species pair with the white-tailed eagle (''Haliaeetus albicilla''), which occupies the same niche as the bald eagle in the Palearctic. Its range includes most of Canada and Alaska, all of the contiguous United States, and northern Mexico. It is found near large bodies of open water with an abundant food supply and old-growth trees for nesting.
