SonneMondSterne
The SonneMondSterne Festival (short SMS) is an open-air festival featuring electronic dance music held in Germany. The festival lasts three days and takes place on the second weekend of August in Thuringia at the Bleilochtalsperre near Saalburg-Ebersdorf. The first festival was in 1997 with 2,500 people. The 15th festival in 2011 reached 35,000. To reduce the time in between the festivals the organizer started the ''Wintercircus'' in 2001 and 2002 which took place in February. Due to the success of Wintercircus they moved it in April 2003 and renamed it to ''SonneMondSterne presents Camp Music''. 2004 was the last Camp Music. Since 2007 every festival is named with an additional "X", it stands for the Roman numeral ten. Therefore 2007 was as ''SMS.X1'' the eleventh event. Accommodation The festival area contains two main stages, four club tents, nine bars, three restaurants, one supermarket, two non food markets, a party boat and a merchandise shop. Saalburg-Ebersdorf
Saalburg-Ebersdorf is a town in the Saale-Orla-Kreis district, in Thuringia, Germany close to the Bavarian border. It is situated on the river Saale, 10 km southwest of Schleiz, 30 km west of Plauen and 30 km north-west of Hof. The town is an administrative union of two large villages (Saalburg and Ebersdorf) lying either side of the Saale river near the Bleilochtalsperre as well as several smaller villages in between and around them. History The earliest records of the towns and villages of Saalburg-Ebersdorf are from the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. They lay on and around the historical trade route between Nuremberg and Leipzig. MOONBOOTICA is the pseudonym of Hamburg DJs KoweSix (Oliver Kowalski) and Tobitob (Tobias Schmidt), who have been playing together since the 1990s. General The MOONBOOTICA music project was born at the early Moonbootica party series in the clubs of Hamburg. Their style can be categorized as electronic music, drawing on electro and house genres, with certain hip-hop influences. Polarkreis 18 was a German rock music, rock band from Dresden, Saxony. The bandmembers met at school, where they formed the Jack of all Trades ensemble in 1998. In 2004, they renamed their band ''Polarkreis 18''. Its musical style can be described as rock music, rock, synth-pop and Electronic dance music, indietronic. Their albums include ''Polarkreis 18'' and more recently ''The Colour of Snow''. The Prodigy
The Prodigy are an English electronic dance music band formed in Braintree, Essex, in 1990 by producer, keyboard player and songwriter Liam Howlett. The original line-up also featured dancer and singer Keith Flint and dancer and occasional live keyboard player Leeroy Thornhill, dancer Sharky and MC and vocalist Maxim. The Disco Boys
The Disco Boys are a German house music DJ and production duo from Hamburg, which consists of Raphael Krickow (* 1966) and Gordon Hollenga (* 1969). Swedish House Mafia (SHM) is a Swedish house music supergroup consisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso. Norman Quentin Cook (born Quentin Leo Cook, 31 July 1963), also known by his stage name Fatboy Slim, is an English musician, DJ, and record producer who helped to popularise the big beat genre in the 1990s. Lexy & K-Paul are DJs from Berlin consisting of Alexander Gerlach ("Lexy", born 14 January 1976 in Dresden) and Kai Michael Paul, formerly Kai Michael Fuchs ("K-Paul", born 5 November 1973 in Berlin). Alter Ego (German Band)
Alter Ego is a German music group, comprising Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke. They achieved notability in 2004 with their track "Rocker", which became one of the year's defining dance anthems, especially in Europe, and getting played on rotation amongst the most popular DJs such as Felix Da Housecat, 2 Many DJs and The Chemical Brothers.
