Mario Landi
Mario Landi (12 October 1920 – 18 March 1992) was an Italian director known for his giallo movies such as ''Giallo a Venezia'' and his television series ''Le inchieste del commissario Maigret''. Life and career Born in Messina, Sicily, Landi attended the National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome, graduating in direction in 1944. He began his career in theater, working with the best actors of his time, in particular being one of the most active protagonists of the "Diogene" cultural circle in Milan, a reference point for the Italian theater in the 1950s. Anna Maria Bottini
Anna Maria Bottini (24 March 1916 – 9 August 2020) was an Italian actress. Biography Bottini attended the Accademia dei Filodrammatici in Milan, where she graduated in 1936, beginning her acting career at the end of World War II. A character actress, with biting and tasty jokes and with an aggressive attitude, Bottini worked in dozens of films, also collaborating with directors such as Luchino Visconti, for whom she starred in ''The Leopard''. Bottini abandoned the film activity in the early 1980s, devoting herself exclusively to the theatre. Death Bottini died on 9 August 2020, at the age of 104. Franco Volpi (actor)
Franco Volpi (11 July 1921 – 1 January 1997) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Biography Born in Milan, Volpi formed at the Accademia dei Filodrammatici and debuted on stage in 1938, aged 17, in the company held by Renzo Ricci and Laura Adani. He often worked with Ernesto Calindri, on stage, on television and in a popular series of commercials. He is regarded as one of the early stars of Italian television miniseries (the so-called "sceneggiati"). Volpi died of a tumour in Rome, on 1 January 1977, at the age of 75.
