Yoko Kanno
is a Japanese composer, arranger and music producer best known for her work on the soundtracks of anime series, television series, live-action films, video games, and advertisements. She was born in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. She has written scores for '' Cowboy Bebop'' and its live-action adaptation, ''Darker than Black'', ''Macross Plus'', ''Turn A Gundam'', ''The Vision of Escaflowne'', '' Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex'', ''Wolf's Rain'', ''Kids on the Slope,'' ''Genesis of Aquarion'' and ''Terror in Resonance'', and has worked with the directors Hirokazu Kore-eda, Yoshiyuki Tomino, Shinichirō Watanabe and Shōji Kawamori. String instruments, stringed instruments, or chordophones are musical instruments that produce sound from vibrating strings when a performer plays or sounds the strings in some manner. Steve Wilson (jazz Musician)
Steve Wilson (born February 9, 1961) is an American jazz multi-instrumentalist, who is best known in the musical community as a flutist and an alto and soprano saxophonist. He also plays the clarinet and the piccolo. Wilson performs on many different instruments and has performed and recorded on over twenty-five albums. His interests include folk, jazz, classical, world music, and experimental music. Wilson is currently on the faculty of New England Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts. He was elected as an American Champion by the National Flute Association. Wilson has maintained a busy career working as a session musician, and has contributed to many musicians of note both in the recording studios, but as a sideman on tours. Hajime Mizoguchi
is a Japanese cellist and composer. Mizoguchi started playing piano at the age of 3, and the cello at the age of 11. From 1978–1985 he attended the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music where he majored in violoncello. In 1986, he released his first album, ''Half Inch Dessert'', being listed as composer, arranger, and performer. Tsuneo Imahori
is a Japanese guitarist and composer. Life He started to play acoustic guitar aged 12, inspired by British folk music from the likes of Bert Jansch, and later the work of Frank Zappa and Andy Partridge. In 1986 he formed the band Tipographica, with saxophonist Naruyoshi Kikuchi and jazz pianist Akira Minakami. After four albums, the group disbanded in 1996. In the 90s he formed the instrumental trio MEATOPIA with Tadahiko Yokogawa of 4-D mode1 and P-MODEL & Osamu Matsumoto. They released one self-titled album under this band in 1993. After providing the soundtrack to ''Gungrave'' for PlayStation 2 in 2002, the concept was subsequently developed into an anime series, also scored by Imahori.
