''Sone Yay'' ( my, စုန်ရေ; lit: Downstream) is a 1990 Burmese drama film starring Kyaw Hein, Khin Than Nu, Zin Mar Oo and Min Oo. The film was directed by Kyi Soe Tun. Plot Aung Wai is working in the Construction Department in Yangon. His wife dies and Aung Wai is left with their son and daughter. Aung Wai wife's sister takes care of the children. When the children are old to attend the school, he is moved to Pyay. Kyi Soe Tun
Kyi Soe Tun ( my, ကြည်စိုးထွန်း, ; born 9 December 1945) is a five-time Myanmar Academy Award winning film director, producer and screenwriter of Burmese cinema. He served as the chairman of the Myanmar Motion Picture Organization. Biography Kyi Soe Tun is the son of Daw Hla and her husband U Tun in Yangon. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Yangon University. He began his film career in 1977, and first served as director in 1980 in the film ''Chan Myay Pa Say''.He won five national awards Academy. Kyaw Hein
Kyaw Hein (, ; born Kyaw Htay, 14 July 1947 – 11 July 2020) was a Burmese actor, film director and singer. He is the five-time winner of the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards. He starred in and directed hundreds of films, and was considered one of the most important actors in Burmese cinema. He retired in 2008, and became a Theravada Buddhist monk, with the Dharma name (ကိတ္တိသာရ). He died as a monk on July 11, 2020 in Canberra, Australia. Early life Kyaw Hein was born on July 14, 1947 on the Kyaung Kone Road in Sanchaung township. His father was a retired District Police Chief named John Maung Sein ( DYSP) and his mother was a housewife named Cho Cho. He is the fourth child of six children. Pyay
Pyay (, ; mnw, ပြန် , ; also known as Prome and Pyè) is principal town of Pyay Township in the Bago Region in Myanmar. Pyay is located on the bank of the Irrawaddy River, north-west of Yangon.
