Halver
Halver is a town in Germany. History Around 950 the ''Oberhof Halvara'' was first mentioned in the ''Werdener Probsteiregister''. For more than 500 years Halver was the seat of a Fehmic court, the earliest definite evidence of which is in 1243; it ceased to exist in 1753. This court was most famous because of the trial of duke Henry XVI the Rich of Bavaria-Landshut and the knight of Toerring on May 2, 1430. With effect from October 1, 1912 the municipality Halver was split, Schalksmühle becoming an independent municipality. Both were administered together in the Amt Halver. As part of the communal reforms of the district of Altena the ''Amt'' was dissolved on January 1, 1969, and Halver was granted city rights. Olpe (district)
Olpe () is a Kreis (district) in the south-east of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Neighboring districts are Märkischer Kreis, Hochsauerland, Siegen-Wittgenstein, Altenkirchen, Oberbergischer Kreis. History The district was created in 1817 as ''Kreis Bilstein'', in 1819 the capital was set to be Olpe. During the reorganization of the districts in 1969 several of the municipalities in the district were merged to become cities, however the district itself was only modified minimally, and also in the second reorganization 1974 it stayed nearly in the same borders as in 1817. Geography Geographically it covers the south-western part of the Sauerland mountains, which make the district rich in forests. The main river through the district is the Lenne. Sondern, Wuppertal
Sondern is a village and subdistrict approximately by road south-south east of Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Situated near Beyenburger, it is situated in a valley between the rivers of Herbringhauser Bachs, the Wupper and the Lohmühlenbachs. The national road 411 descends to Beyenburger bridge. The Dynamit Nobel AG explosives factory was in the vicinity, which passed after the First World War to the Pyros Fireworks Company. In the 1920s, the factory was destroyed by fire and never rebuilt.
