''Son of Batman'' is a 2014 American animated superhero film which is the 19th film of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies and the third film in the DC Animated Movie Universe. It is an adaptation of Grant Morrison and Andy Kubert's 2006 "Batman and Son" storyline. The film was released as a digital download on April 22, 2014, and was released on physical media May 6. Plot At the headquarters of the League of Assassins, Ra's al Ghul grooms Damian Wayne, the young son of his daughter, Talia, and Batman, to succeed him. The League is ambushed by a group of assassins led by Slade Wilson, Ra's al Ghul's initial choice for successor before Damian's birth; Ra's is defeated and fatally injured by Slade, dying before he can heal his injuries with the Lazarus Pit. After the incident, Talia takes Damian to Gotham City to meet his father and remain in his care while she and the League deal with Slade. Ethan Spaulding
Ethan Spaulding is an American animation director, producer and storyboard artist, well known as a crew person on the animated television series ''Avatar: The Last Airbender''. He directed twelve episodes, and held various crew positions on several others. After ''Avatar'' concluded, he moved to Warner Bros. Animation, where he served as a producer of the 2011 '' ThunderCats'' reboot. He also served as a storyboard artist for ''The Legend of Korra'', and co-directed the 2014 animated film '' Batman: Assault on Arkham''. Batman And Son
"Batman and Son" is a 2006 comic book story arc featuring the DC Comics character Batman. Written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Andy Kubert, the story was published in four parts in the comic book '' Batman'' starting in #655 and ending in #658. The story was the beginning of Morrison's run in the ''Batman'' comic as well as their long-term take on the character of Batman through multiple titles over the next seven years. The arc introduced Batman's son, Damian Wayne, bringing him into the mainstream continuity of the DC Universe. Morrison was hired by DC editors to give their take on Batman after having recently given their definitive take on the character of Superman in '' All Star Superman''. In writing the arc, they took ideas from past Batman stories, especially the 1987 story '' Batman: Son of the Demon''. Sean Maher
Sean Maher (born April 16, 1975) is an American actor. He is known for his portrayal of Simon Tam in the science fiction television series ''Firefly'' and follow-up movie ''Serenity''. Early life Maher was born in Pleasantville, New York to Joseph and Margaret Maher. After graduating from Byram Hills High School, Maher trained at New York University where he earned his drama degree in 1997. He acted on stage in several productions, including ''Yerma'' and ''Into the Woods''. Career Maher starred as the title character, a rookie police officer, on the short-lived TV series '' Ryan Caulfield: Year One''. In 2000 he played one of the main characters on the short-lived (dropped after seven episodes) Fox series ''The $treet'', and he has also appeared on the television series ''Party of Five'' (as Adam Matthews) and on ''CSI: Miami''. The Teen Titans are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, frequently in eponymous monthly series. As the group's name indicates, the members are teenage superheroes, many of whom have acted as sidekicks to DC's premier superheroes in the Justice League. The original team later becomes known as the Titans when the members age out of their teenage years, while the Teen Titans name is continued by subsequent generations of young heroes.
